Iodine is a trace mineral that is necessary for most living organisms. Its primary biological function is to bind to the amoni acid Tyrosine to create the thyroid hormones, T4 and T3.

I-Throid contains 5 mg. of iodine (free elemental iodine) and 7.5 mg. of iodide (from potassium iodide) - the ratio that is the ideal balance for all body tissues. This formation utilizes a vegetable capsule delivery system for rapid release and bio-availability. the vegetable capsule offers a complete vegetarian/vegan friendly formula.
