Cardiovascular Research was founded in 1981 by its current president, Jonathan Rothschild, who began his career as a medical writer, specializing in cardiovascular research. Ecological Formulas, a subsidary, was established in 1982, in response to a demand for supplements for individuals with food and chemical sensitivities.

Cardiovascular Research/Ecological Formulas has been formulating and distributing specialty supplements for more than 20 years. Many of the products are for the chemically sensitive individual. All their products are manufactured in a GMP approved facility and are analyzed for potency and purity.
